An Incredible Vacation
We are enjoying our time together as we approach 8 months of getting to know each other in deeper ways.
Our long walk in the woods was AWESOME. we walked around in God's awesome playground. she's been so busy creating these towering trees. you feel so small...we are so small standing next to them. they are alive and so so old. we saw one that started growing when the country was founded and that was one of the youngest ones.
I made a pecan pie from scratch. I just took it out and it's cooling. happy. Patience is having to wait until tomorrow to find out if it tastes ok. I fudged the directions a bit and made my own way with it. Was i willful or divinely inspired? Either way I danced in kitchen of my brother's abundant well appointed kitchen and had fun, shopping for ingredients and doing it up in this lovely sunlit space.
I have so much to be grateful for, including this relationship blossoming in my life. Today we even spent time apart: my bicycle ride with my brother and his going to a meeting alone. The fall leaves are gorgeous away from the city, the sky with dusty puffy clouds. Two hours of bliss on rolling hills, leaving everything on the asphalt. My legs are alive.
Enjoy your time tomorrow.
